Art and history enthusiasts can visit the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art with Lapham Center on Thursday, April 19 for guided tours of their featured exhibits, Colts & Quilts: The Civil War Remembered, a collection of paintings, costumes and artifacts, and Andrew Wyeth: Looking Beyond, a highly focused exhibition of rarely seen paintings, drawings and preparatory studies. The Wadsworth is the oldest public art museum in the United States and has collections of nearly 50,000 works of art spanning 5,000 years.
