talk with urogynecologists, Dr. Brian Hines and/
or Dr. Katherine Sandhu. The event is free
and lunch will be provided to all participants.

Urogynecology is a subspecialty within
obstetrics and gynecology that focuses on
disorders such as prolapse and incontinence.
Many women who suffer from these con-
ditions are uncomfortable discussing them;
however, under the care of a specially trained
urogynecologist the vast majority of women can
experience significant improvement in the quality
of their lives. Both doctors are fellowship trained
urogynecologists who will speak about some of
the common pelvic floor conditions and how they
can be best treated.

| Old friends, and newcomers to Lapham Center, please join us on a
safari in Africa, without packing, the 15 hour flight and sunhats. Dr. Les
de Villiers, long time New Canaan resident, will escort us through the
wilds and present an illustrated talk about the joys of spending time with
animals. An extraordinarily accomplished photographer, Dr. de Villiers
spends at least six weeks every year on a photo safari in Southern and
East Africa and when he is in New Canaan he plans safaris for others.
Dr. de Villiers is the author of several books on economics, politics,
conservation and travel including The South African Travel Guide,
produced with golfer Gary Player and the late heart-transplant pioneer, Dr.
Christian Barnard, and Safari Guide.

| As Time Goes By: A Musical Review |

One of our favorite singing groups, The
Inn Notes, had their last performance filmed for
Channel 79. If you missed it then, you will have
a chance to see it on our big screen.
As Time Goes By is a look at the three
stages of life - youth, prime of life and crowning
years - in songs and skits. While many of the
performers are members of the Inn Notes, there
are also guest soloists whom you will
enjoy. Music Director Barbara Jeffries will
introduce the film and bring a prop or two.

Get ready for holiday parties and find
out how to make the best of the make-up you
already own. Linda Hurst will discuss how to
use and where to buy make-up, as she
demonstrates on one of the participants. Bring
your own make-up and a small stand up mirror
so you can try out her techniques.
Linda Hurst has been a Make-Up Artist
in TV, film and theater for 30 years. She is also
a facilitator and State Trainer in the American
Cancer Societys "Look Good Feel Better" program,
which offers make-up and wig advice to
cancer patients. She does not sell products
