The Holiday Train showat the New York BotanicalGarden features painstakinglycrafted miniatures of New YorkCity all made entirely out ofplants. Large-scale modeltrains chug along 1,000 feet oftrack, past 140 scaled replicasof New York landmarks including the EmpireState Building, Little Red Lighthouse, BrooklynBridge, and Yankee Stadium.Your visit will begin with a cozy tram rideto the Historic Stone Mill (quilts provided) whichwill have just reopened after renovations. Aplated lunch will be served in this quaint buildingwhere you will also view a special screening ofthe PBS documentary Holiday Train Show withDavid Hartman. You will then have a guided tourof the Train Show as well as time to check outthe Garden's other public displays on your own.
