Duplicate Bridge - Greer

This class is for intermediate and advanced duplicate bridge players. Class will consist of a short lecturewith questions/answers, followed by supervised play using prepared hands. These hands will support and reinforce the theme of the lessonWe will discuss some of the advanced conventions and treatments used by strong duplicate players but there will be more emphasis on thedevelopment of bridge logic skills in play and defense as well as bidding.

Social (Kitchen) Bridge - Greer

12 Wednesdays, Sept. 7 - Nov. 30, 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.(No Class on Nov. 23) $72 [$96]

This class is for those who have a basic knowledge of bridge and want to upgrade their game. We willreview the fundamentals of bidding, declarer play, and defense, then move on to explore modern bidding techniques, including themost popular conventions such as Jacoby transfers, weak 2-bids, unusual no trump, Drury, Michaels, and mony others. Each weekwill start with a lecture/dialogue, followed by supervised play, using prepared hands that illustrate the theme of each lesson. Eachtable will play the same hands and group analysis with questions and answers will follow. Class will be limited to 16 playersso weekly attendance is recommended. 12 Thursdays, Feb. 2 - April 19, noon - 2:00 p.m. $72 ($96) This class is the second in the ACBL series taught by Dr. Richard Olson . Our students who took ACBL Book 1 in the fall should sign up for this class. Other people who are beginning players are welcome to try this class.
